Exits to take stock, here's what I think is the highlight of my trip: Sure, it was a beautiful trip, but there are moments that will stay with for longer than others in my memory.
So in chronological order:
• Red Autumn Tree course whether Nikko , Kawaguchiko , Tsuwano at Shodoshima at Daitoku ji Kyoto or at Koishikawa Korakuen . • The
Shichi Go San , the Japanese tradition that celebrates the children in their finest clothes. • The temple
Toshogu in Nikko, very touristy but for good reason.
• The pervasive view of Mount Fuji from the valley of five lakes, which seems to keep you under its protective figure. • The
dance geisha in Kyoto, a unique moment.
• The charged atmosphere of the Duck River in Kyoto on Saturday night.
• The Hostage Nenbutsu ji temple , and its nice statues on the hill Arashiyama, Kyoto.
• Old Funaoka onsen in Kyoto full, and its popular atmosphere and simple.
• The evening restaurant Matsue, to enjoy the 7 fish specialties.
• The city of Matsue in fact: the castle, the museum Adachi the sunset Lake ... a pleasant city. • The
sanctuary of Tsuwano, and the religious festival. His carp his small Christian chapel and yatai . • The amazing temple
Mara Kannon at Tawarayama.
• The tranquil island Shodoshima : its olive his footpath .
• Sleep in a yurt to Naoshima
• Madness Dotombori in Osaka.
• The food the food the food: the Tofu to Kyoto or Nikko the Yakiniku Osaka, the cuisine of ryokan, the sobas ...
• The quiet neighborhood of Yanaka in Tokyo.
• The very interesting museum Edo-Tokyo .
• A true nature hike to Nishizawa . • The
Koishikawa Korakuen at sunset.
• The mosque Tokyo, and this final ride on a Sunday at Yoyogi
And more than anything, I I loved wandering around with my camera, trying to shoot pictures for you to enjoy ... it was really cool!
Among the disappointments, there are still Tottori (there was more because of the storm), Izumo not worth the detour, some temples in Kyoto, Tawarayama onsen (the guide Lonely Planet indicated as a gem), Kurashiki , the museum Naoshima on certain aspects Osaka
... Well, that was my Best of ... I'll try not to read me because otherwise I'll be tempted to add any other stuff ...
The next post will talk about other trips ... ...
PS: I can not get enough: a little song for the road ...
