Day 20 - Tokyo
So ... I noted the address on the internet ... I turn a little in the neighborhood before finding it here ... this is: a small corner of Britain open Tokyo ... How would you like a good pancake?
In Japan, we also eat crepes ... but it is usually pancakes served in cones in boxes, and filled with lots of scoops of ice cream, whipped cream, fruit, etc.. . It's very good but sometimes a simple sugar crepe or galette good ... it's not the same!
Since 1996, the owner of this pancake, Bertrand Larcher, has made up his mind to discover the real crepes Japanese. He now has several restaurants in Tokyo, and even a restaurant in Rennes, where employees are trained pancake (for addresses, appointments on their website). Bowl of cider, mussels in white wine, the smell of pancakes, everything is done in the tradition. Even the outdoor tables have a small air homegrown ...
is a good sign: There is queuing at the entrance ... and apparently c 'is the meeting point of French expatriates who come have lunch there on Sunday.
cooks are Japanese. The server also, but he speaks flawless French.
the menu: ham and cheese galette, Breizh Cola and salted caramel crepe.
So here's the opinion of the famous food critic AkaiEric : While the galette was not exceptional, the salted caramel crepe was very good ... We will return!
Especially that one day, going around my neighborhood (the 3rd arrondissement of Paris), I could see a Breizh Café (which also belongs to Bertrand Larcher), with the Japanese inside ... I would go see one of these days ...
